To accompany his performance of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, concert organist Martin Setchell invited New Zealand's leading colourist, Philip Trusttum, to create a corresponding series of paintings. The resulting collaboration performance of Pictures at an Exhibition was first given at the Christchurch Town Hall on May 31, 2003.
